1. Tutor Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Tutors are required to have the necessary educational qualifications and expertise in the subjects they tutor.
Tutors are responsible for preparing and delivering effective tutoring sessions, tailored to the individual needs of the students.
Tutors must maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality when interacting with students, parents, and the tutoring service.
2. Tutor-Student Relationship:
Tutors are expected to foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students, encouraging their academic growth and confidence.
Tutors shall not engage in any behavior that may be considered inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory towards students or their families.
3. Scheduling and Sessions:
Tutors are responsible for coordinating their session with students.
Tutors should promptly communicate, to the service administrator/supervisor, any changes in scheduling or cancellations with adequate notice.
4. Compensation:
Tutors will be compensated according to the agreed-upon terms, which may include hourly rates or other compensation structures.
Compensation details will be outlined in a separate agreement or contract.
5. Conduct and Ethics:
Tutors are expected to uphold ethical standards and abide by applicable laws and regulations.
Tutors shall not engage in any form of academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or cheating.
6. Reporting and Communication:
Tutors are required to provide regular progress reports to both the students and the tutoring service.
Tutors should communicate openly with the students, parents, and the tutoring service to ensure a transparent learning process.
7. Intellectual Property:
Tutors must respect copyright and intellectual property rights when using or sharing educational materials.
Tutors shall not use students' work or materials for any purposes other than tutoring without appropriate consent.
8. Termination of Services:
The tutoring service reserves the right to terminate the services of any tutor at its discretion, based on performance, conduct, or any other relevant factors.
Tutors also have the right to terminate their services with a week's notice.
9. Confidentiality:
Tutors are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained during the course of tutoring sessions, including students' personal information and academic progress.
10. Liability and Indemnification:
Tutors shall not hold the tutoring service liable for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from their services.
Tutors may be required to indemnify the tutoring service for any claims arising from their actions or omissions.
11. Governing Law:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the South African laws.
These terms and conditions are subject to change and modification by iSabelo Development Solutions at its sole discretion.
By providing tutoring services through iSabelo Tutoring Service, tutors acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
